Ingredients
  

Pasta and Chicken
  • 12 ounces penne pasta Can substitute with any pasta shape.
  • 1 pound chicken breast Cut into bite-sized pieces.
Vegetables
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen can be used.
Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low-sodium recommended.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Plus extra for serving.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust for seasoning.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta and Chicken
  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water.
  2. In a separate pan, cook the chicken pieces over medium heat until fully cooked and browned.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the pan with the cooked chicken, add the broccoli and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer.
Combining
  1. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce mixture.
  2. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with extra Parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

For variations, add other vegetables such as bell peppers or spinach. Can be made ahead and reheated for leftovers.
