Ingredients
  • 7 oz cottage cheese small curd
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or herbes de Provence
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray for the air fryer basket

Method
 

  1. Add cottage cheese and egg to a medium bowl and mix until the egg is well combined and the cheese curds break up slightly.
  2. Add flour, dried herbs, and salt, then stir with a spoon or spatula until you get a thick, slightly sticky batter.
  3. Let the batter rest for 3 to 5 minutes so the flour hydrates and the mixture thickens.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Wet your hands with water, scoop about 1 heaping tablespoon of batter per pizzerinka, and shape into small patties about 1/3 inch thick.
  7. Arrange the patties in a single layer in the basket, leaving a little space between them.
  8. Air fry for 5 to 6 minutes, then gently flip each pizzerinka with a spatula or tongs.
  9. Continue cooking for another 5 to 6 minutes until the pizzerinki are lightly golden on the edges and springy to the touch.
  10. Serve hot, plain or with your favorite dipping sauces.

Uwagi

- If the batter is too runny to shape, stir in 1 to 2 extra tablespoons of flour.
- If the batter is too stiff or dry, mix in 1 tablespoon of milk or water.
- For a more “pizza-like” flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or a little grated cheese to the batter.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed for even browning.
